How to connect Google Analytics with Olitt Website

Once you’ve successfully created your website with Olitt, the next step is promoting it to your potential readers.

The truth is, you don’t have a website if no one is reading or visiting it.

To avoid that, consider doing the following to drive traffic to your website:

· Share links on social media

· Publish SEO optimized content

· Submit the website to online directories

· Submit the links to search engines such as Bing and Google

If you do that consistently, your website will be raking in visitors within no time.

But there is one problem.

How will you if people are coming to your website?

· What pages or articles are attracting more readerships?

· What pages do your visitors land or exit the site?

To answer these and many other questions, you need to access and dig into analytics.

The question is, how?

I assume you know about Google Analytics. It is a dashboard where you can track and monitor everything going on in your website.

And now that you have the website on Olitt, how about you learn how to connect the two.

Before we delve into it, make sure you have a Google Analytics account.

Ideally, if you already own a Gmail account, technically you have a Google Analytics account. It is a matter of activating it.

To connect the two, this is what you ought to do:

Click on Manage on the website you want to integrate Google analytics with.

Go ahead and navigate to the Integration tab top of the screen.

This should open a window with current available Olitt integration. And among them is Google Analytics.

On the right, you will see the Expand tab, go ahead and click on it. This will open a form-like field asking you to input Google Tracking ID.

Now, you will need to get your Google Analytics ID, paste it here and click connect to complete the process.

Here is how to get the ID.

Click on the Admin tab (bottom-left panel).

Then locate Tracking Info, should be under properties.

Click on it and and select Tracking code

And should pull up your ID. Looks like this UA-XXXXXX

Go ahead, copy and paste it here:

Then click on Connect.

Congratulations!

You can now track your Olitt website activity on your Google Analytics dashboard. Give it 48 hours and you should start seeing some activity.
