How to Add Zoho Email Records to Olitt DNS Platform

1 min read

To send and receive emails, Zoho provides the following DNS records:

  • Three MX records
  • A TXT record called SPF record
  • Another TXT record called DKIM
  • Another TXT record called DMARC

These are all necessary for you to send and receive mails well, it is thus important to configure them all. The records are normally provided during the initial email account setup. In case you do not have the records, please refer to this guide on how to obtain them or contact Zoho Support so they can provide them to you.

Once obtained, follow the steps below to add them on Olitt

1.Ensure you domain’s nameservers are pointing to the following:
ns1.olitt.com
ns1.olitt.net
ns1.olitt.org

You can confirm this by visiting this link: https://whois.is

2.Login to Olitt and navigate to DNS Management

3.Your domain should already be added there. If not, click Add Domain on your top right

4.Once the domain is added, click Manage, next to the domain name

5. Next, click Add Record and add the desired record. You will have 3 or 4 values to update: DNS Type, Name and Value and if adding MX records, you will also have a Priority field to add.

6. Repeat the steps above for each of the DNS records you want to add. There should be at least 6 DNS records from Zoho

Note: For your emails to work well (both send and receiving). You should add a total of 6 records – 3 MX records and 3 TXT records. The TXT records are essentially an SPF record, DKIM, and DMARC record
